Affinity Propagation
A new clustering algorithm that claims to be much faster than existing clustering algorithms while still producing very good results. Unlike K-Means it does not require the number of clusters to be given a priori.

MiGBase64 – Base64 Java Codec
Base64 encoder which claims to be much faster than the iharder encoder that we currently use. Might consider using it, but it would need a little tweaking to provide an alternative “URL-safe” alphabet mode like the iharder library does.
